The Mayor of Mogadishu who is also the Governor of Banadir Region, H.E. Abdirahman Omar Osman (Eng. Yarisow), has today laid the stone foundation of Banadir Regional Administration Construction Materials Testing Laboratory which will be built in the District of Wadajir.
H.E. Eng. The Lab is aimed at helping the economy by saving money for Somali Business people who currently spend significant amounts of money and time by sending geophysical materials to Kenya for testing in order to design durable infrastructure facilities that are suited to the respective environment.
“the Lab will improve the quality and suitability of construction material utilized across the Banadir Region and all over Somalia, help expand the number of materials science experts from diverse backgrounds and open up new job types.” Said Eng. Yarisow.
