Pictures: China-Arab States Expo attracts around 12,000 participants

The 4th China-Arab Expo which was held last week in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous region, northwest of China, showed achievements of the Belt and Road Initiatives through joint efforts, SONNA reported.

About 90 countries and regions, 2,300 chambers of commerce, business associations and enterprises and more than 9,000 guests gathered the Expo that opened on Thursday, September 5 and concluded Saturday, September 8, 2019 according to Ningxia Regional Government.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said in a congratulatory letter that the Expo became an important platform for China and Arab states to jointly build the Belt and Road, urging both sides to use the Expo as an opportunity to better benefit people from both sides.

Representatives from Mauritania, Niger, and Pakistan commended the friendship, cooperation, and people to people exchanges between China and Arab states while thanking to Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region for hosting the Expo and their hospitality.

Chinese Ministry of Commerce said the trade between China and Arab states totaled 244.3 billion US dollar in 2018.

The exhibition includes a display of high technologies, modern agriculture, health care machines, and so many products and services that attracted the attention of participants during the three days.

China-Arab States Expo is always held in Yinchuan city, in Ningxia region in every two year.

SONNA English Service Editor, Mohamed Osman in the region says Ningxia has a population of over six (6) million, among which Hui people account for 36 percent who are mostly Muslims, noting that Yinchuan city has many mosques and deserves to host such Expo.
